ESC Region 19 Head Start parents, teacher, and staff celebrate the “Week of the Young Child,” April 12th – 16th, 2021.
The “Week of the Young Child” is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This week-long celebration is filled with classroom and family activities focusing on encouraging and appreciating young children, and recognizing the importance of early childhood education and the positive impact of a strong foundation on a young child’s development.
Children are a special gift in our lives and to the future of our communities and the world. Their unconstrained enthusiasm and love for the world around them is a gift freely given and is the strength that motivates and uplifts the families and lives they touch.
