ESC Region 19 Head Start achieved new Accreditation+ status from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for several more of its Head Start centers, for the 2024–2025 school year. This prestigious designation reaffirms the program’s commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education.
The newly accredited Head Start centers are:
- David Sublasky Head Start and Early Head Start
- Isaac Camacho Head Start and Early Head Start
- John E. Uxer Early Head Start
- Red Sands Head Start
- Socorro Head Start and Early Head Start
- Westside Head Start and Early Head Start
- Ysleta Head Start and Early Head Start
This accomplishment brings the total number of NAEYC-accredited ESC19 Head Start centers to 30.
NAEYC accreditation is widely recognized as the gold standard in early childhood education, based on rigorous criteria across 10 standards including curriculum, health, safety, teaching, and family partnerships. Programs must undergo a thorough self-study, submit extensive documentation, and host on-site validation visits to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to excellence.
Accreditation not only ensures a high standard of care and education but also provides families with confidence and peace of mind, knowing their children are in nurturing, developmentally supportive environments. It also promotes continuous professional growth for staff, enhancing program quality across the board.
ESC19 Head Start congratulates all centers, staff, and families who contributed to this outstanding achievement!
