On May 5th, Cesar Chavez Head Start hosted a special Día del Niño (Children’s Day) celebration filled with joy, creativity, and family bonding.
Parents and children came together to create colorful works of art, while enjoying meaningful time together. “When families actively participate in their children’s learning experiences, it strengthens emotional bonds and supports school readiness, social-emotional growth, and long-term academic success, “says Cesar Chavez Center Manager Beatrice Betancis.
The center’s activities encouraged creativity and connection, reflecting Head Start’s commitment to fostering strong family engagement in a supportive environment where children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Día del Niño, celebrated in many Latin American countries on April 30th, honors the importance of children in our lives and society. At Head Start, this event not only celebrates our children but also emphasizes the vital role of family involvement in early childhood development.
