Welcome Parents and Students to San Elizario Head Start! Welcome to San Elizario Head Start! I'm Claudia Ybarra, your center manager, and on behalf of our entire team, we're thrilled to have you and your child join our Head Start family. Our theme for every child’s first day is “It’s Okay to Feel All the Feels,” as understanding and coping with emotions are key to children’s social-emotional development. Our curriculum supports social-emotional and academic growth, and we’ll send home projects for you and your child to work on together, strengthening the collaboration between teachers and parents. We also encourage parents to volunteer in their child’s classroom and on the parent committee. San Elizario Head Start is located on El Paso’s Far East side within the San Elizario Independent School District. The center opened October 4, 1994 and serves children ages 3-4 years, and infants and toddlers.
