Welcome to J E Uxer Head Start, a nurturing and stimulating early education environment for your child to learn and grow! Located on the northeast side of town, our NAEYC-accredited center serves 273 preschoolers aged 3 to 4, offering both full-day and half-day classes to meet your needs. We share our building with the IntelliZeum, an interactive museum designed for our preschoolers, where teachers promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and independence through imaginative play.

We encourage parents to get involved by volunteering in our classrooms and participating in decision-making through our Executive Parent Committee, Policy Council, and various Parent Committees. Our Family Partnership and Leadership program also offers opportunities for professional growth, including GED, ESL, and CDL classes.
