Academic Enrichment

Much of a child's early learning experiences take place outside of the classroom. Providing environments that enrich children's learning, interaction with their community, and exploration of the world around them is an important part of a holistic early childhood development program.

Academic Enrichment Services support and extend the cognitive development and enrichment of all Head Start Preschool children through the use of innovative environments, lessons, and hands-on research-based activities such as the IntelliZeum, Career City, Technology Learning Center, and Libraries, which are aligned to the preschool curriculum in order to promote and support school readiness.

The IntelliZeum is a state-of-the-art interactive museum designed to enhance knowledge in the areas of the educational process with an emphasis on literacy, math, technology, science, history, and the fine arts.
