Professional Development

The professional development service area is responsible for the coordination of the formal and informal training of over 800 employees. Our goal is for all employees to receive high-quality training in their respective assigned position placing an emphasis on local, state, federal, and program standards.

The organization's workforce is now and always will be prepared in their knowledge and skills to serve children, families, and staff through participation in monthly in-service workshop sessions. Training is conducted by in-house experts and/or qualified consultants. Other training opportunities include conferences, group employee institutes, individual mentoring, and higher learning institutes for the attainment of an associate's or bachelor's degree.
